Situated on the Atlantic coast, in western France, Pays de la Loire spans 32,388 km² — the 7th largest of France's 13 métropole régions. It was home to 3,853,999 people as of 2021 (8th most populous), and generated an estimated €147,791 million in GDP in 2024 (ranked 8th). Nantes, Angers and Le Mans are among its largest cities.
